On May 18, during the tests, the power unit No. 1 of Primorskaya TPP was synchronized with Yantarenergo networks and produced the first 5 MW. Successful verification of equipment operation allows to proceed to the final stage of the unit preparation and to comprehensive testing, after which the power unit will be put into operation.

For construction of three power units at Primorskaya TPP, ZiO Group of Companies manufactured and supplied three coal-fired steam boilers of E-240-13.8-560KT type with a unit capacity of 65 MW. The total design capacity of the power station will be 195 MW.

Primorskaya TPP is designed to operate using coal fuel. Its operation will make it possible to diversify the fuel balance of Kaliningrad energy system and reduce energy-technological dependence on natural gas supplies.

JSC Machine-Building Factory of Podolsk has been known since 1919. It has 70 years of experience in design and manufacture of steam and hot water boilers operating on various fuels (gaseous, liquid, solid) of various types and capacities (conventional - for burning various types of fuel, heat recovery boilers for CCGT units (with gas turbines from 6 MW and more), boilers for waste incineration plants, etc.).
