ZiO Group showcases oil & gas solutions at Moscow's Crocus Expo Exhibition Center
The 25th International Exhibition "Equipment and Technologies for the Oil and Gas Industry" took place on March 2 at the Crocus Expo Exhibition Center. ZiO Group was among the participants, presenting its industry solutions for the third consecutive year.
Natalia Sidorenko, Deputy General Director for Engineering and Project Management at ZiO Group, spoke about the company's presence at the exhibition and its objectives in the oil and gas market.
Advancing in the Petrochemical and Gas Market
"We have built a strong reputation in the electrical power industry, but the expertise we have accumulated there enables us to move confidently into adjacent markets, — explained Natalia Sidorenko. — One example is cooling systems for thermal power plants. We were the first in Russia to supply such equipment as part of import substitution programs. In terms of design, it is very close to what is in demand in the gas and petrochemical industry".
Air-cooled heat exchangers for the petrochemical and gas sector have always been part of the company's portfolio, though in smaller volumes. Today, ZiO Group is ready to expand its presence. As Natalia Sidorenko emphasized, the focus is on reputation and reliability, not price.
Developing New Business Lines
Another area where ZiO intends to make a strong statement is water treatment and wastewater purification systems.
"We are well known in the electrical power industry, — said Natalia Sidorenko. — But in the water treatment market, we are not yet seen as a serious player. We want to change that".
Change is already underway. Over the past three years, the company has signed two major contracts. More importantly, clients are returning. According to Natalia Sidorenko, this is a direct result of customer focus and a strong commitment to quality.
Strengthening the Team
To gain a firm foothold in new markets, ZiO has invested in people. The company has appointed a Chief Designer for Air Cooling Systems and expanded its engineering capabilities. In addition, the acquisition of Borkhimmash has brought valuable experience, technology, and a skilled team.
Dmitry Kanevsky, former Technical Director of Voronezh-Aqua, has joined the company as Chief Process Engineer. Alexander Lifanov, former CEO of Oilgasmash, now heads the Cooling Systems division.
"These are people who know the business inside out,— said Natalia Sidorenko. — We actively sought them out — and we found them. They bring their own vision and approach".
And this is only the beginning. The Group's plans include further strengthening the team, building expertise, and reaching new heights.
